Note: For information about the content of Rider Manuals, we recommend the first chapter of Radio Diagram Sourcebook by Richard Gray. In particular, Gray describes the different versions of Volume I and how they may overlap material in Volume II. In summary, After Vol I was issued, Rider than issued a number of supplements to be added to that volume. He then published Volume II which consisted of supplements 3 to 10 plus some additional material.
Perpetual Trouble Shooter's Manuals:
- R6A: Volume VI, 1935. (binder) CONDITION: Minor edge wear on binder else Very Good. Pages slightly age darkened else Good Plus.. $12.
- R6B: Volume VI, 1935. (binder) CONDITION: Minor edge wear, minor rusting on interior hinge, else G+ cond. in cardboard slipcase. Slipcase, broken, torn and worn. $15.
- Volume IX, 1938. (binder) CONDITION: Edge wear, corners bumped, pages a bit age darkened around edges, else G+ cond. $15.
- Volume XI, 1940. (bound book) CONDITION: Some edge wear, covers a little rubbed, pages a bit age darkened around edges, else G+ cond. $15.
- Volume XII, 1942. (binder) Fold-out schematics placed at front of book. CONDITION: Some edge wear, pages a bit age darkened, else G+ cond. $15.
- Volume XIII, 1942. (binder) CONDITION: Edge wear, some soiling to covers, pages a bit age darkened around edges, else G cond. $15.
- Volume XVI, 1947. (binder) CONDITION: Edge wear, some soiling to covers, pages a bit age darkened around edges, else G cond. $15.
- Volume XXI, 1952 (binder) CONDITION: Spine of binder half detached. Edge wear. Title page missing but appears to be otherwise complete. Slight age darkening of page edges, else G cond. $25.
Other Non Rider Service Manuals
While published by other companies, (or published by Rider for other companies) these manuals contain much the same material as in the Rider manuals.
- National Union Radio Service Manual Vols I and II (in binders) Published by Rider. 1933. This would be the equivalent of Vol I with all supplements through 10. CONDITION: Covers of binders rubbed. Hinges worn and splitting at top and bottom . Pages age darkened mostly around edges. Slight water stain on bottom of pages in Vol I (does not affect schematics). $40. (Postage $9.)
- Radio Circuit Manual 1942 Radcraft Publication. 10.5 x 13.5" screw-post binder. 700 pages. "Directory of Radio Receivers Manufactured in 1941 up to April 1942. CONDITION: White spotting on front cover of binder. Hinge edges worn. First few pages have vertical folds down middle (nothing missing). Pages slightly age darkened at edges. Otherwise Good. $20.
