How to Get to the Park

The Park is located on Rhododendron Road in the northwest corner of Fitzwilliam.

To reach the Park from the East:

From the junction of NH Routes 12 and 119 go west one tenth of a mile on Route 119 to the Fitzwilliam Village Common. As you approach the Common you will see the Fitzwilliam Inn directly ahead. Take the road (Richmond Road) that is just to the left of the Inn. Follow this road for .7 miles to its junction with Rhododendron Road (the old Town Cemetery will be on your left). Turn right on Rhododendron Road and follow it for 1.6 miles to Rockwood Pond Rd. (Rhododendron Road becomes a gravel road at this point.). Turn right onto Rockwood Pond Rd. and immediately left into the Park.

To reach the Park from the West:

Take Route 119 from Winchester NH. Travel East on Route 119 from Winchester Center through Richmond NH. East of Richmond look on the left for Old Troy Road which is about 9.8 miles from Winchester and about 3.5 miles from Richmond Center. Turn left onto Old Troy Road and proceed for 1 mile to its junction with Rhododendron Road. (There will be an old tennis court on your left at this junction). Turn right onto Rhododendron Road and proceed 1.3 miles to Rockwood Pond Road. Turn left onto Rockwood Pond Road and immediately left into the Park. Old Troy Road is paved and this section of Rhododendron Road is a well maintained gravel road.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If coming from the West, follow the above instructions. Do not attempt to use shorter routes that may appear on road maps taken from Internet map services. Some of the secondary roads shown on these maps are impassible.
