Spring 1977 found the Rhododendron grove in ruins, a casualty of the winter's storms. When state funding alone proved insufficient for the repairs the Fitzwilliam Garden Club volunteered their services. The state Division of Parks and Recreation accepted and invited the members to develop and maintain a wildflower trail for the public's enjoyment.
From month to month flowers fade into and out of season, but regardless when you choose to walk the Wildflower Trail, spring through summer, there will be something beautiful to behold.
